1. Tasks:

Regular tasks​:

  • Lead the engineering team for developing Steering (EPS, Steering column and shaft ) Development of systems to achieve requirements and targets (Package, Performance, Weight, Quality and Cost) across multiple platforms.​

  • System development plan, DFMEA, DVP and Releases​

  • Support system integration and development​

  • Route Cause analysis and countermeasure definition​

  • Manage the activity within the team​

  • FuSa analysis​

Occasional tasks​:

  • Support defining long term strategy of  Steering​

  • Methodology and Std for design and develop Steering systems

 

2. Authorities:

Decision-making authorities​

  • System development plan​

  • Testing procedures and tuning of the system to achieve subjective and objective targets in collaboration with vehicle dynamics team​

  • Cascade Vehicle Targets to System Targets​

  • Methodology and Design Criteria​

Managerial authorities​

  • Manage supplier to deliver technical and quality targets of the system

 

3. Responsibilities: 

  • System definition and development​

  • System and component sourcing support​

  • System and component release​

  • Achieve Ride and handling performance targets​

  • Achieve systems cost, time and weight targets​

  • Technical Sign off Documentation

 

4. Required skills and competencies: 

  • System knowledge and proven experience in development
  • Controls Literate
  • Proven Experience in Chassis and Vehicle Dynamics 
  • CAD literate 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
