We are looking for engineers who are familiar with the process of developing complex systems from the idea to the finished product. A hands-on approach and a very good understanding of technological processes involved in the development and production of powertrain systems is mandatory.

The ideal candidate has a strong passion for cars, technology and engineering with a background of mechanical and/or electrical engineering education and has worked on additional projects within the industry.


1. Responsibilities:

  • 2D and 3D FEM design and analysis of E-motors (SPM, IPM)
  • Topology selection and motor sizing
  • Material selection and definition (electrical steel, magnets)
  • Loss calculation and modelling (Iron loss, magnet loss, AC loss, PWM induced)
  • Leading project from concept development to SOP
  • Coordinating with multiple teams on EDU development (CAE, Gearbox, Inverter, System)
  • Cooling design and thermal simulation using 1D software
  • Insulation system design, material definition and selection
  • Coordinate CAD packaging and design with mechanical engineers
  • Support production and testing


2. Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in motor development
  • Advanced knowledge in FEM software (Motor-CAD, JMAG, Magnet)
  • Advanced knowledge in state-of-the-art E-motor technologies
  • Knowledge and experience in thermal circuit modeling and cooling concepts
  • Experience in designing SPM and IPM e-motors
  • Carried out project from design, prototype to SOP
  • Fluent in English
  • A high level of technical knowledge and experience of powertrain component system design, packaging, technology, machining, production and testing
  • Highly skilled in organization and planning
  • Advanced understanding of thermal behavior of the machine, principles of cooling systems, thermal behavior of different materials etc.
  • Advanced understanding of motor control, PWM loss calculation, inverter operation loss calculation


3. Considered as an advantage:

  • Knowledge of FEM and CFD analysis
  • Knowledge of German
