Responsibilties:

Become the reference subject matter expert for the following fields in Bugatti-Rimac d.o.o:              
Composites Materials
Plastic Materials
Adhesives
Exterior Painting Material Validation.
Technical Approval, Innovation and Technology roadmap for the materials in the scope.
Definition of the Testing Methodology as well as the strategy (inhouse/outsourced) for the robust introduction of new materials in the scope of:
New composite structural materials (both visual and structural)
New plastics for interior and exterior applications
New Adhesives (Body-wide)
New Exterior colours.
Benchmark and watchdog the industry for new material systems and applications.
Authoring the Technical Specifications in the scope of the materials mentioned above, relevant to Vehicle Engineering.

 

Tasks:
Generate and maintain the library of test procedures for material validation and characterization.

Generate and maintain a set of engineering specification and design rules for components and assembly, related to composite and plastic elements.
Assess compatibility of materials and propose measures to improve common issues related to the materials scope.
Generate and maintain the relevant materials data cards (both materials and adhesive stacks)
Develop the relationship and framework for the technical requirements with raw materials suppliers and materials test houses.
Support the generation of foundation DFMEAs and PFMEAs for the different component using the relevant materials.
Support the generation of the Lifecycle Assessment of the parts using the technologies
Promote, implement and support a Simultaneous approach to Body, Concept and Development where early engagement from all stakeholders is maximised in order to avoid late changes.
Validate and Support the Individualization function to enable unique design proposals, keeping the car roadworthy and complying with the durability standards, while supporting the customer desires.
Support the supplier nomination strategy to deliver prompt and accurate design-to-manufacture input into the concept process to reduce the development cycles.
