The candidate will be responsible for Power Inverters design across all Bugatti Rimac vehicles.

 

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Reference person for the mechanical, high voltage, low voltage and cooling design of the Power Inverter
  • Responsible to deliver component on time into production according to agreed validation plans and providing on-field support for vehicle commissioning and triage
  • Provide technical expertise on Power electronic requirements definition and validation
  • Coordinate the design release with related approvals and suppliers, monitor component readiness, manufacturability, investment and piece cost, lead change request process.
  • Responsible for Inverter concept definition through feasibility study and detailed system analysis.
  • Ownership of component requirements definition and deployment, both functional and HW.
  • Ownership of component DFMEA and IFMEA. Support for main malfunction analysis and mitigation definition and implementation.
  • Support the PWT Functional and Technical safety concept deployment, verification and sign-off support as specified in ISO26262.
  • Work with PWT simulation team to execute system simulation providing inputs and methodologies.
  • Interact closely with EM expert and Drivetrain dept in order to deliver parts according to packaging constraints, validation, homologation, End Of Line and afterservice requirements
  • Verification and validation plans definition and execution on PWT system level and proactively support the vehicle ones.
  • Be a team player and share the knowledge throughout the whole powertrain team

Qualification & Experience:

  • Previous experience within an automotive or automotive components supplier on HV electrical powertrain components
  • Experience with CAD management software (3DX)
  • Engineering Degree in appropriate discipline or equivalent
  • Experience on all relevant vehicle legislation and certification requirements for automotive HV components and systems
  • Specific EMC expertise as a plus.
  • Experience of delivering HV powertrain systems from early design stage to series production
  • In-depth vehicle powertrain knowledge and electrified components
  • Working across functional teams effectively to deliver viable problem resolution
  • Experience on EE simulation software (e.g. LTspice, Simulink, Cadence) as a plus
