Infotainment OS Software Engineer (m/f)

We are expanding our Infotainment software team and are looking for an Embedded Linux OS Engineer. You will be responsible for the development of embedded Linux-based OS for our infotainment systems. This will include writing bash and python scripts, writing bitbake recipes, driver development for various devices and OS optimizations. You will work closely with other teams involved in Infotainment development to implement necessary features and optimizations into OS and integrate 3rd party components and solutions.

1. Main tasks & responsibilities

• Driver development and integration for various modules
• Linux kernel configuration, patching, building, toolchain flow, and custom recipes.
• Optimization and general improvement of existing OS
• IVI hardware design validation
• Close collaboration with IVI Application development team and HW development team

2. Requirements

• Strong understanding of embedded Linux architecture, configuration, monitoring, and profiling.
• Strong, demonstrable embedded C/C++ development skills
• Ability to read device datasheet and implement in drivers
• Proficient in Git version control
• Proficient in C
• Knowledge of Yocto is a plus
• Knowledge of Android Automotive OS is a plus
• Knowledge of Python is a plus
• Ability to read and understand basic electronic schematics is a plus
