We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Sales and Business Development to spearhead our growth initiatives in the energy storage industry. This pivotal role involves developing strategic sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, and cultivating key partnerships to drive revenue and market expansion. The candidate should pioneer new commercial models to maximise customer value and unlock new revenue streams.




  • Develop and execute sales strategies, comprehensive sales plans and forecasts by region, aligning with company objectives and market trends
  • Identify, evaluate, and cultivate strategic partnerships, collaborations, and business development opportunities with untapped customers and key stakeholders
  • Derive and develop new commercial models, ranging from flexible & adaptive warranties to generating new revenue sources with novel software features  
  • Build and manage a robust customer pipeline, forecasting estimated share of wallet and potential growth opportunities
  • Coordinate and lead sales activities across regions, effectively managing sales resources to optimize performance and achieve targets
  • Oversee and guide the Request for Quotation (RfQ) processes and customer contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with business goals and profitability targets
  • Provide hands-on support to sales teams during client pitches and presentations
  • Regularly report sales performance metrics and market insights to the Business Unit Leader, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders to drive collaboration and growth initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., technical, marketing, finance) to align sales strategies with broader business objectives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, setting clear goals and priorities to drive individual and collective success





  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and business development within the energy storage or related industry
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing sales strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels
  • Deep understanding of the energy storage market landscape, including emerging trends, competitors, and customer needs
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen to conduct market and financial analysis, assess business opportunities, and make data-driven decisions
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing market conditions and business priorities
