About us

We are a technology powerhouse that designs, engineers, and manufactures the world's most advanced automotive technology and hypercars. Bytes to bolts, Rimac is where everything happens.

Our teams develop and produce both hardware and software solutions for our flagship, record-breaking hypercar, the Nevera, as well as for other automotive manufacturers’ vehicles. Working on technology solutions for partners such as Porsche, Hyundai, Aston Martin, Koenigsegg, Automobili Pininfarina, and others, gives Rimac a unique position of a technology leader in the high-performance electric vehicle industry. The stakes are high.

As a fast-moving company, we nurture a high-performing culture. If you are interested in joining, you must be prepared for relentless learning, adapting, and embracing new technologies. We expect an easy-going person, but also self-driven, entrepreneurial, and highly independent in their work, that will enjoy rising to the challenge and have fun pushing the limits of technology.

Our expectations are high. And we can only achieve our goals with the dedication and collaboration of our exceptional team. Our ambition is to deliver and go the extra mile. We need to expand our already industry-leading team, find the best people, and lead the charge.

1. Tasks:

Regular tasks:

  • Execute the cross-functional integration of innovative Control Systems and capturing the cross-functional Electrics, Electronics and Embedded Software implications as reference of the software and hardware (SW & HW) integrator of the Control Systems department.

  • Define the Aerodynamics, Chassis, Powertrain SW requirements through the integration of appropriate control and diagnostic strategies and through Engineering Specification via target cascade processes.

  • Cascade the E/E architecture and SW requirements that deliver optimal Controls Systems performance.

Occasional tasks:

  • Support the development and delivery of embedded software through virtual and physical Proof-Of-Concept of the proposed solutions and subsequent industrialization.

  • Support the definition of the Control Systems Roadmap for autonomy-related requirements and autonomy-enabled features relevant to the current and future platform portfolio

2. Responsibilities:

  • The implementation of Basic Software (BSW) and Application Software (ASW) development processes according to the ISO26262 Functional Safety standards and managing the delivery the associated documentation and validation needs.

  • The complete AUTOSAR-based software platform architectural design and its integration with the Application Software Components (SWC), orchestrating the verification and validation of Control Systems at system and vehicle level.

  • Weekly meeting with Lead of Control System Simulation and Integration Testing for alignment and shared decisions agreement.

  • Support the Team Lead in setting and managing objectives & targets of the team.

3. Required skills and competencies:

  •  Broad engineering experience within the Automotive/Motorsport industry and proven record in delivering innovative solutions, preferably for Active Chassis and/or Hybrid/EV Powertrain.

  • Proficiency with AUTOSAR Classic architecture configuration, with modification of legacy (non-AUTOSAR) application software to AUTOSAR-based and with AUTOSAR toolchain (preferably Vector-based)

  • Experience and thorough understanding of mainstream automotive HW and SW development processes and full awareness of Legislative Compliance requirements (US Certification and EU Homologation)

  • Strong knowledge of microcontrollers and related peripherals management with the standard debugging tools with preference for Lauterbach Trace32 desirable.

  • Experience with SPI, CAN, CANFD, LIN, ETHERNET, UDS, and XCP communication protocols.

  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 standard and Automotive Cybersecurity (ISO/SAE21434)

  • Broad and hands-on experience of FMEA & FuSa processes.

  • Fully committed to apply the V-process and proficient in using simulation tools and advanced analysis techniques for data acquisition and post-processing.

  • Strong time management, accuracy, diligence, ability to balance multiple tasks.

  •  At least 2 years Automotive/Motorsport industry experience, ideally both OEM and Tier 1, in developing embedded controls systems software.

  • Engineering Degree in appropriate discipline e.g. Electronics.

  • Full EU driving license, ideally Proving Ground B permit.
