We are searching for an enthusiastic, experienced Cost Engineer to join us in our office in Zagreb or Berlin. Our mission is to become one of the leading hypercar manufacturers and you as Cost Engineer will help us to achieve this by ensuring our vehicle projects meet our high profitability expectations. You will work closely with Engineering, Programme Management, and Purchasing Departments to help set and achieve material cost & investment targets. You will be a highly valued member of the Controlling team which is part of our CFO unit. 

 

1. In your new role you will: 

  • Support in creation of vehicle targets based on your knowledge of parts and/ or component costs & feasibility analysis 

  • Help to develop and implement a new cost management process, ensuring that projects are delivered to target and profitability is achieved 

  • Assist Purchasing in understanding of supplier gaps to target, train colleagues and challenge gaps where appropriate 

  • Create a benchmark database of target costs for Bugatti Rimac to use on future hypercar projects, utilising both internal and external data sources 

  • Develop standard internal ‘should cost’ processes and communicate them consistently across the business 

  • Contribute expertise to Make vs. Buy business cases 

  • Develop in-house knowledge on engineering expertise and rates by country/region 

  • Be at the fore front of industry developments to ensure Bugatti Rimac Group is exploiting new technology and manufacturing techniques to help optimise profitability 

  

2. What do you need to be successful? 

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an automotive OEM 

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance/ Controlling, Engineering or similar technical degrees 

  • Experience in ´should cost´ calculation and familiarity with project development milestone thinking 

  • Controlling/ Cost Engineering experience within a company focused on manufacturing and physical product development would be a big, big plus 

  • Proven record in advanced Excel, VBA and/or Access knowledge would be beneficial 

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, process and structuring skills 

  • Fluent in English
