1. Tasks:
Regular tasks
Define specific Functional Safety Requirements in collaboration with the System design architects
Lead HARA and support hardware/software architectural design with functional safety analysis methods (FTA, DFA, FMEDA and FMEA)
Lead safety reviews with internal and external stakeholders
Support implementation of Technical Safety Requirements at the hardware/software level
Support the electronic hardware team in getting FIT rates for hardware components
Develop verification and validation methods to support testing of hardware/software Safety Mechanisms in Software/Model In the Loop (SiL/MiL), Hardware In the Loop (HiL) and Driver In the Loop (DiL) environments
2. Responsibilities:
Responsible for defining, planning and completing Functional Safety work products as related to Vehicle Control Systems, performing functional safety analysis of internally designed electronic hardware and software sub-systems
Reporting of safety critical issues to the project and the line management
Document all relevant safety requirements, analysis, architecture implementation, verification and validation for each sub-system
Liaise with Tier 1 suppliers for SW and HW of Control Systems/Components and academic research partners
Define and maintain DIA with the suppliers
Support Purchasing and Quality department in SEooC and NOT SEooC sourcing process
Weekly meetings with Control System Integration Team Lead
Alignment and shared decisions agreement
3. Required skills and competencies:
Proficiency in ISO26262 stardard
Knowledge of controls systems, ECU hardware and embedded software development (V-Cycle)
Experience with tools and methodologies for safety analyses (e.g. HARA – Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment, FTA -Fault Tree Analysis, FMEA -Failure Mode Effect Analysis, FMEDA - Failure modes, effects, and diagnostic analysis, DFA - Dependent Failures Analysis)
Knowledge of Requirements and SW development management tools (e.g. DOORS, GIT, Jama and Jira)
Ability to understand electrical system architecture and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethenet)
Excellent Communication Skills

Feel comfortable in speaking English
Master degree in Electronic / Electric Engineering or equivalent
4. Considered as a plus:
Experience with Vehicle Dynamics and/or Powertrain Control Systems
Knowledge of Automotive Cyber Security standard (ISO/SAE 21434)
Experience with Vector tools and Matlab/Simulink
Knowledge of Automotive SPICE standard and AUTOSAR concept
Understanding of diagnostic protocols like UDS and OBD
