1. Tasks:
a) regular tasks
Define Brake system targets (disc, calipers, brake lines, booster, stability unit…)
Brake sizing to achieve vehicle braking performance
Simulations and Calculation of brake performance
Communication with brake system suppliers
Vehicle dynamics braking simulatons in 15-DOF
Attending of test session for brakes development
Implementation brake models for driving simulator (static and dynamic platform)
Brake systems DVP and development plan definition
Brake systems std and procedure for testing, desing and sign off
Brake Issue resolution and Permanent corrective actions definition
b) occasional tasks:
Support Performance Engineer to define vehicle braking targets and load cases
Support Chassis & VD Chief Engineer for brakes development activities
Define tool for brake systems target cascade and sizing
Support definition of brakes technology road map
2. Responsibilities:
Brake Perfomance Status Monitoring in simulation and test enviroment
Deliver brake system for Bugatti Rimac projects
Driving decision towards Brake system supplier
Coordinate brake development activites accross the project
Define DVP for brake systems
Define Std and procedure to sign off brake systems
Brake Systems plan definitin for all programme
Brakes specifications to achieve vehicle braking performance targets
Achieve brake performance targets and system sign off for all vehicle programmes
Define Brake std and procedures
